About the challengers cup
The Challengers Cup didn’t start as just another tournament, it began as a dream. We set out with a simple but powerful goal: to build an event that the 40K community truly wanted - an experience crafted by the people, for the people.
With the support of teams from across the country, we formed a core group whose shared vision brought the Challengers Cup to life. These dedicated clubs and their leaders played an active role in shaping every part of the event, ensuring it reflected the spirit and values of our community.
A National Effort, A Local Heartbeat
This is the largest eight-person team tournament in the U.S., bringing together eight of each club’s top players to compete for something greater than just victory. While it’s fiercely competitive, the Challengers Cup honors more than just match results — we celebrate painting, team spirit, and the collective passion behind each club. Beyond the players on the tables, every member of each club is recognized and welcomed at our event.
Three Days of Epic Competition
Held over three action-packed days in Salt Lake City, our event features professional judge support, functionally balanced terrain, and a format inspired by the World Team Championship — elevated with a community-first twist. But we didn’t stop at just gameplay: we also bring in the best brands to support the event and ensure an unprecedented experience for competitors and spectators alike.
Driven by
Collaboration
At its core, the Challengers Cup is more than just a tournament. It’s a collaborative effort. With guidance from a committed network of club leaders spanning the nation, we make decisions together, respond to what the community hopes for, and deliver an experience that belongs to all of us. No matter what part of the globe you're coming from, we want you to feel like walking into Challengers Cup is like coming home.
Why It Matters
We believe the best events don’t just happen - they’re made. They’re forged when the community speaks up and is listened to. When teams come together across the country, when hobbyists and competitors unite around more than just a trophy. That’s what drives us. That’s why this event exists.

We’re proud of what we’ve built — a truly community-created 40K major. And we’re just getting started. Whether you’re bringing your best eight players or joining as a club supporter, you’re part of this journey.
